FAQ
-
What is the cause of tooth colouring?
There are a lot of causes. Most common are growing old, the frequent usage of coffee, tea, Coke, red wine etc. While the tooth is still growing the usage of tetrechlorure and excessive fluorization may cause dental coulouring. Stains that can be removed by professional whitening are called extrinsic dyes. Colourings that cannot be removed by professional whitening are called intrinsic dyes. Most substances such as coffee, tea, Coke and red wine lead to extrinsic colouring, which, in time, may cause intrinsic dyes which damage the enamel. Dental whitening is highly recommended in what intrinsic dyes are concerned.
